Queue for one of London’s most talked-about sandwiches, apparently.

Chatsworth Bakehouse is a tiny south-east London bakery with a reputation for sandwiches big enough to become the outing. Bread is baked in-house, fillings change constantly and the names are part of the fun – past combinations have included kimchi-heavy Faceplants, bhaji butties and mortadella-stuffed specials. The walk-in bakery opens for just a few hours from Wednesday to Saturday, so queues and sell-outs are part of the ritual rather than a marketing stunt.
